Finding a Church Home

A Judah Kids Church Connection Guide

More Than Programs.

Judah Kids was created to help young people grow spiritually, socially, academically, and creatively—but from the beginning, part of our vision has also been to build bridges between families and the local church.

An after-school program can encourage a child for a few hours each week. A healthy church community can walk alongside an entire family for years.

That is why we want to help Judah Kids families who are interested in exploring Christianity or finding a church home take that next step.

You do not have to do it alone.

If one of the churches below interests you, we can help you make an introduction, answer questions, and, when possible, even attend with your family for the first time.

How I Chose These Churches

There are many churches in Northwest Georgia, and this is not intended to be a complete directory or a ranking of which churches are “best.”

These are churches with which I have enough familiarity to feel comfortable helping families begin a conversation.

As a Christian organization, Judah Kids especially looks for churches where:

  • Scripture is taken seriously and taught as authoritative rather than simply used to support a particular personality, culture, or agenda.

  • Jesus and the Gospel remain central.

  • Worship is understood as something that shapes everyday life—not only something that happens during a Sunday service.

  • Children and teenagers have meaningful opportunities to grow in their faith.

  • People are encouraged toward discipleship, community, service, generosity, and personal spiritual growth.

  • Families from different racial, cultural, linguistic, socioeconomic, and personal backgrounds are treated with dignity and given genuine opportunities to belong.

  • The church demonstrates care for people both inside and outside its congregation.

These churches do not all share the same denomination, worship style, ministry philosophy, or theological tradition.

Our goal is not to make every family look the same but rather to help families find a faithful Christian community in which they can know God, grow in Christ, serve others, and belong.

A Note From Our Executive Director

“Judah Kids was never intended to become a replacement for the local church.

I spent years serving in church ministry before and during the early years of Judah Kids, and those experiences—both the beautiful ones and the difficult ones—have made me care deeply about helping families experience healthy Christian community.

My own theological background has shaped how seriously I take Scripture, but I'm much less interested in whether every church uses the same denominational label I do than I am in whether a church faithfully follows Jesus, teaches Scripture with integrity, makes room for people to belong, cares for its neighbors, and calls Christians to actually live what they believe.

I want our kids to understand that worship isn't a concert we attend once a week. Worship is a life surrendered to God.

And I want their families to encounter churches where that kind of life can grow.”
