SELAH SESSIONS
Pause. Listen. Write.
Five-Day Songwriting + Creative Worship Intensive for Middle and High School Students
Who We Are
-
Selah Sessions creates space for young people to slow down, listen deeply, engage Scripture, and discover that they have something worth saying.
Over five half-days, students will walk through the process of creating a song—from the first idea to the final recording.
And by the end of the week, they'll have a demo to prove it.
-
For generations, young people have gathered in churches to sing songs of worship. But long before worship songs were projected onto screens, David was writing.
He wrote from joy. He wrote from disappointment. He wrote questions. He wrote prayers. He wrote about what he saw, what he remembered, what he feared, and what he knew to be true about God.
Selah Sessions invites the next generation into that same creative practice.
Students will study David's writing in the Psalms alongside relevant worship songs being sung today, asking two important questions:
What has remained consistent? And where does a songwriter have freedom to create?
Then they'll put those discoveries into practice.

What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead. What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
